• Mrs. M.H. Fourie (ECOLTECH - research)
- She has been in the education industry for more than 30 years,
- Part of the ECOLTECH team who initiated the first computerized reading program in South Africa for South Africans during the early 1990’s.
- Trained at the Technikon Pretoria as a Reading Technologist and working in the first Reading Laboratories in South Africa gave her a wealth of experience in reading and reading intervention.
- She successfully started many Reading Centres across South Africa, assisting learners, students and management level in improving reading skills.
- Development and grading of reading material for our software has been Marietjie's task from the inception of our first computer program
• Mr. W.N. Fourie (Deceased in 2008)
He left a wealth of more than 40 years of experience in the fields of education and reading intervention:
- as a teacher in secondary school,
- as a vice principle of a Prinshof school,
- as the senior researcher at the HSRC in the field of reading
- as the director of Student Affairs department at Tswane University of Technology
Willem was the first to stimulate many Reading Centres in Tertiary Education in South Africa. He organized a number of international conferences and congresses on reading improvement. He firmly established a dimension in the team throughout his life to use research as a preventative measure and not only in a corrective way. He transferred a legacy of insight, research and knowledge to the team. The ECOLTECH and LECTORSA team will continue to build on his research and inspiration to improve reading.
• Mrs. M. Marshall (LECTORSA & ECOLTECH - research)
Since 1988 Minda has been a key member of the ECOLTECH team. Initially she was co-operative in laying the foundation of ECOLTECH and instrumental in the development of the first Afrikaans computer reading program in South Africa. B.
Presently she is a director of LECTORSA and busy with research and development in ECOLTECH she is heading up the development of the new Lector programs. The LECTOR 6 has been completed successfully with the rollout date end of November 2009. She is currently responsible for the modular design and development of the lector LAB. This will be a first to market product to be rolled out in the fourth quarter of 2010. Minda’s many years of practical experience in education ensures that her contributions reflects an in time character.
• Mr. T. Marshall (LECTORSA)
Thomas is concerned in an executive capacity in the business finances and strategic planning of Lector SA, pioneering the company to new heights. He has successfully concluded numarous business ventures and has diverse experience in the establishment and management of varied enterprises internationally and nationally. He brings a dynamic energy and state of the art business acumen in the LECTORSA Team.
• Mrs. S. Grobbelaar
Sanri was involved with the development of the previous Lector 4 software and is currently involved in the compiling of the PULSE/POLS program that consists of a workbook for learners, (grade 1 – 9, Afrikaans & English) and the guide/ memorandum for teachers to use in the classroom to improve reading skills and study techniques.
